On September 27, 2024, at approximately 2331 hours, a Marin Area CHP unit was traveling northbound on Highway 101 through Mill Valley California near Highway 131 when they observed a motorcycle traveling a high rate of speed a violation of California Vehicle Code section 22349(a). The officers caught up with the motorcycle just north of the Sir Frances Drake Boulevard off-ramp and tried to conduct a traffic stop but the motorcycle took off at speeds over 100 mph ultimately eluding the officers and evading capture.
