DUI Suspect Leads CHP on High-Speed Chase Through Los Angeles 🚓

On September 3, 2023, California Highway Patrol officers on duty along Highway 101 near Alvarado Street in Los Angeles observed an impaired driver in a white sedan weaving between the broken white lines in traffic. The officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver did not comply, leading them on a high-speed pursuit that ended on 22nd Street, where the driver Edgar Medina was arrested. Medina was taken to the Los Angeles Police Department Regional Jail, but due to his aggressive behavior, the staff declined to process him. Consequently, officers transported Medina to the East Los Angeles Sheriff's Office for booking and later to the Los Angeles County Inmate Reception Center to finally get booked on the following charges:
