About this video
Post-match press conference with Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca following their 4-3 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the Carabao Cup Round of 16.
Chelsea raced into a 3-0 lead through Andrey Santos, Tyrique George and Estêvão, before Wolves fought back after the break with goals from Tolu Arokodare and David Møller Wolfe. Liam Delap was sent off for two yellow cards, Jamie Gittens made it 4-2 and Wolfe struck again late on to set up a tense finish.
Maresca praised his side’s first-half display but said he was “very upset” with the second, describing it as a “lesson” for his young team. He called Delap’s red card “stupid” and “completely unnecessary”, and admitted it was “embarrassing” to go down to ten men again as Chelsea advanced to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
