Enzo Maresca Reacts to Chelsea's Narrow 1-0 Victory Over Tottenham ⚽

Post-match press conference with Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca following his side’s 1-0 win away at Tottenham in the Premier League.

João Pedro’s strike in the 34th minute, created by Moisés Caicedo’s pressing and interception, secured the three points.

Maresca stressed the importance of defensive solidity and praised the team for limiting Tottenham’s expected goals (‘xG’) to just 0.05 - the lowest figure his opponent has registered in a Premier League match since the stat’s introduction.

He singled out Caicedo and Rodri as the two best defensive midfielders in the world at the moment and praised João Pedro’s character and contribution, while also highlighting that striker Liam’s return added options after an extended absence.
