Indian Startup Amwoodo Turns Bamboo into 'Green Gold' 🌱

Kolkata-based Amwoodo aims to replace plastic with bamboo. The 70-crore brand makes bamboo products across categories like personal care, hospitality, interior design, and even construction. Founder Agni is an engineer and during his time in Germany, he came across many sustainable products and wanted to promote this lifestyle in India, which is the second-largest producer of this ‘green gold’ in the world. Amwoodo employs hundreds of farmers and artisans and stops tonnes of plastic from entering landfills each year. They manufacture and supply reasonably priced bamboo products to brands and businesses.
