About this video
Speed’s test is used to evaluate for biceps injuries and SLAP tears. The arm is flexed forward to 90 degrees and supinated. The examiner is asked to flex against resistance. The arm is then pronated and the shoulder is flexed against resistance again. Pain with flexion especially in pronation suggests biceps etiology; vague shoulder pain suggests SLAP tear.
