Dramatic Police Chase After Stolen Honda at Oakland McDonald's 🚓

On February 20, 2025, in Oakland, California, a high-speed police chase began after CHP officers spotted a stolen white Honda Accord at a McDonald's drive-thru on Alameda Avenue. Triggered by a Flock safety camera alert, officers attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect fled, running over spike strips and leading police on a dangerous pursuit through Oakland streets. The driver recklessly went the wrong way in traffic, forcing CHP units to pull back as AIR 37 tracked from above. The chase ended on 42nd Avenue, where the suspect was found hiding in a front yard and taken into custody without further incident. CHP Dashcam and Bodycam captured the chase, unfortunately no footage from AIR 37 was available.
The suspect was identified as Varrana Sang and booked into the Santa Rita County Jail on the following charges:

2800.2(A - Evasion - Wanton Disregard for Safety
