Russian State Duma deputies on Friday (February 23) swiftly
reacted to President Yeltsin's address to the nation.
Communist leader Gennady Zuganov, who is Yeltsin's main opponent
in June's presidential election, said the President in his speech
repeated the main points of the Communist programme. Ultra-nationalist leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky said he liked the address, which, he thinks, is Yeltsin's best speech over the last few years.
