LPG Price News: Mumbai Faces Crisis, 20% Hotels Shut, Black Market Prices Surge Amid LPG Shortage

Mumbai is grappling with a severe LPG shortage that has already forced 20 percent of the city's hotels and restaurants to shut down. The Mumbai Hotel Association, known as AHAAR, has warned that if the gas supply crisis continues, up to 50 percent of Mumbai's hotels could close within the next two days. Restaurants currently operating are those with LPG stock sufficient for two to three days. Others are either purchasing gas at inflated prices from the black market or finding no supply available at all. AHAAR representatives are meeting with government officials to resolve the problem urgently. The shortage has severely disrupted operations across Mumbai's hospitality sector, with establishments unable to function without adequate cooking gas supply.
