High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash at Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station 🚓

On June 19, 2025, in Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers witnessed a white Kia run a red light on Sand Canyon Road. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over initiating a high-speed pursuit, reaching speeds of nearly 100 miles per hour through city streets. The chase came to a shocking end when the suspect crashed into a concrete barrier wall at the Santa Clarita County Sheriff’s Station. CHP officers and local deputies quickly responded to secure the scene and assess the aftermath of the crash. The suspect was removed from the Kia SUV, arrested, and taken to Henry Mayo Hospital for medical clearance. The driver refused a chemical blood test to determine what substance she was under the influence of, prompting CHP Officers to obtain a McNeely warrant signed by Judge Shannon Knight. This allowed a nurse to withdraw blood for chemical testing. After being medically cleared, the driver, Lexi Tennies, was transported to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Station Santa Clarita Office for booking for the following charges:
