Yesterday, a fellow Youtuber asked for a video about this Error, which I had just encountered a few days ago. Sweet timing. I have found that the ‘Error Compiling Movie’ notice comes up when I employ heavy effects. In my case, I take care of my Cache and understand my Graphics card and RAM limitations, so I don’t know why it says “Unknown Error” as I think it really is just about the multiple effects…they should just say that. For me, this ‘Video Preview Error’ is fixed by identifying the trouble (red bar) clips, removing some effects and working by elimination. I hope you find this video useful. If you hit an export error like this, I suspect the solution might be similar (so long as your Scratch, cache, RAM and Graphics Cards are in good order).
