Andhakasura defeated in battle. गंगा मैया की रक्षा करने के लिए माता उमा उनके पास आती है और दानवों को देख क्रोधित हो जाती हैं। अंधकासुर के स्वर्ग पर आक्रमण करने की बात सुन देवता असुरों से युद्ध करने के लिए निकल पड़ते हैं। देवता और असुर आमने-सामने आ जाते हैं और युद्ध शुरू हो जाता है। इंद्र देव असुरों पर हमला करता है तो उस जवाब देने के लिए अंधकासुर विशाल रूप ले लेता है। उसे रोकने के लिए इंद्र देव अपना वज्र इस्तेमाल करता है लेकिन अंधकासुर का वज्र कुछ भी नहीं बिगाड़ पाया तो देवता वहाँ से भाग जाते हैं। अंधकासुर देवताओं को परास्त कर देता है।अंधकासुर अपनी विजय का समाचार अपने गुरु शुक्राचार्य को बताता है। अंधकासुर अपने साथ गंगा मैया को पाताल लोक में ले जाने की बात कहता है। Ramanand Sagar presents - 'JAI GANGA MAIYA' based on the most revered and the only living goddess - GANGA. Generation after generation apologize to pacify BRAHMA but without success - and finally after music praying by BHAGIRATH - the seventh generation of King Sagar, GANGA reluctantly consents to descend to earth. To contain its powerful fall, LORD SHIVA steps in the way and lets the river tumble gently through his long hair onto the Himalayas. GANGA then flows across India to the edge of the ocean, where she washes over the ashes and gives of millions of Indians for whom the river is Holy because river Ganga personifies GODDESS GANGA who descends to earth to cleanse the sins of mankind.
