Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has fulfilled his promise to coconut farmers within a month, demonstrating swift governance and commitment to farmers’ welfare. In the Rajole constituency of Ambedkar Konaseema district, the government has sanctioned ₹20.77 crore for the modernisation of the Shankaraguptam Major Drain, a crucial project aimed at protecting coconut farms. From his camp office in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan virtually laid the foundation stone for the project. During his earlier visit to Rajole, coconut farmers explained their problems, especially the damage caused by sea water intrusion, which has been drying coconut trees across the Godavari delta region. Pawan Kalyan had promised to resolve the issue within 45 days, and notably, work began 10 days ahead of schedule. The drain modernisation is expected to provide a permanent solution to seawater and wastewater problems, safeguarding thousands of acres of agricultural land from damage. Speaking after the foundation ceremony, Pawan Kalyan stated that farmers’ welfare is the top priority of the alliance government, adding that listening to problems is not enough—delivering immediate solutions is the real goal. Beyond policy decisions, Pawan Kalyan has also been extending personal support to citizens. Recently, he provided a computer lab and library books to a school in Chilakaluripet within a week of attending a Mega Parents Meeting. He also offered financial assistance to Nageswaramma’s family in Ippatam, including education support for her grandson and a monthly aid commitment. Through decisive governance and personal involvement, Pawan Kalyan is leaving a distinct mark on Andhra Pradesh politics, earning appreciation for timely action and people-centric leadership.
