Marcos: Relationship with Vice President Duterte 'exactly the same'

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. insists his relationship with Vice President Sara Duterte is 'exactly the same' despite recent tirades against him by his predecessor and the vice president's father, Rodrigo Duterte, and her brother, Davao City Mayor Sebastian 'Baste' Duterte. In a roundtable with the media on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2024, Marcos said the vice president 'has not said anything, so nothing has changed.' The President also said that there are no cracks in the UniTeam, the party in which he and Duterte ran under in the 2022 elections. He said UniTem was a 'unification of all the political forces in the Philippines that have come together for the good of the country."
