WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY: Freeing a SEIZED Track Tensioner on Our Soviet KV-1S

About this video

This week on Workshop Wednesday, Beau takes on the KV-1S's seized track tensioning system β€” freeing up and pulling apart components that haven't moved in decades. The KV-1S was a Soviet heavy tank produced from 1942, designed as a lighter, faster variant of the original KV-1 with reduced armour and a redesigned cast turret. Our example is currently undergoing a full strip-down and reconstruction as part of one of the most ambitious restorations we've ever attempted.
