We've Barely Seen the Deep Sea ☠️

While only about 5% of the ocean floor has been mapped in detail, scientists have explored more of the ocean's volume using remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and other submersibles. The creatures shown in the second half of this video are just a few examples of what they've found on targeted expeditions to the deep sea, proof that there's still a whole universe left to discover in our oceans!

We might think we know our planet, but the truth is, the vast majority of the deep sea remains a mystery. These unexplored depths are home to incredible biodiversity, unique ecosystems, and creatures so bizarre they seem like they belong on another planet.
