High-Speed Police Chase Through Bakersfield Streets 🚓

On November 2, 2024, In Bakersfield California, a Highway Patrolman stopped to conduct a welfare check on a truck parked on the side of the road on Third Street just east of V Street. The driver explained that he was talking with his girlfriend and lived nearby, he then sped off running a stop sign prompting the officer to initiate a pursuit. Police chased the GMC pickup at speeds up to nearly 60 mph, running several stop signs before finally stopping on southbound L Street, just north of Brundage Lane. The Driver and his passenger were taken into custody without further incident. Only dashcam footage of this incident was captured, as no bodycam footage was available or released. During the search Officers found a small clear baggie on the ground near the driver's door it contained a white rock substance resembling methamphetamine it and it weighed (0.6 grams). The Identity of the passenger was unknown. The driver was identified as Adam Polin and he was on active county probation until 04/22/2025, he also had an expired driver's license, and an outstanding felony warrant for the following charge:
273.5(A) - Inflict Corporal Injury on Spouse/Cohabitant. California Highway Patrol Officers arrested and booked Polin into the Lerdo Detentions Facility on active warrant and the following charges:
11377(A) - Possession of Controlled Substance
12500(A) - Drive W/O License
2800.2(A - Evasion - Wanton Disregard for Safety
