About this video

Welcome to part 5, where we start on the real configuration.

In this tutorial video, we’ll move beyond the fundamentals and have a configuration technical deep dive, with VTEPs, multicast (for BUM traffic), #OSPF in the underlay, VNI’s and encapsulation (tunnels) in the overlay, all on real Cisco Nexus (NX OS) 9000 switches.

In short, this lab covers how to configure and troubleshoot VxLAN flood and learn. This also further illustrates bridging vs routing with #VxLAN.

Did you know that VTEPs are not called VTEPs on a #Nexus switch? They use a special interface called an NVE. This takes its IP address from a loopback interface.

I also suggest reading β€˜Building Data Centers with VXLAN BGP EVPN’ by Lukas Krattiger
https://click.linksynergy.com/link?id=RL4E*8CmbSY&offerid=145238.2463561&type=2&murl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ciscopress.com%2Ftitle%2F9781587144677

Part 1: Fundamentals - An introduction or primer into the basic concepts and terminology.
