VANCOUVER: Communists Visit the CUPW Picket Line

Across Canada tens of thousands of postal workers are on strike.

Canada Post is demanding “restructuring” to be able to compete with companies like Amazon. This is code for introducing Amazon-like wages and working conditions.

If the company gets its way workers will be forced to work up to 7 days a week, they'll be given "variable" work hours each day, their routes can change every day and more.

The union, CUPW, is waging a determined struggle against these ruthless attacks and they need solidarity from the rest of the working class.

Our comrades are visiting the picket lines to support the workers, as well as to report on what's really going on. The mainstream media, owned and operated by the bosses, always paints striking workers in a bad light.

The following video is a submission we received from our Vancouver comrades, documenting what happened during their picket visit. It clearly shows the strike breaking tactics of management, the treacherous role of the police and the militant fighting spirit of the workers.
