Trump and Xi Meet to Resolve Trade Tensions — No Deal Yet 🤝

In the end there was no formal trade deal to end their months of tariff theatrics, but US President Donald Trump still declared his meeting with Xi Jinping "amazing".

China's language was more muted.

They got a 10% cut to some tariffs, and the US got concessions on rare earth minerals, soy beans and fentanyl.

There was no mention of Taiwan, but the talks were preceded by Donald Trump urging the US military to resume nuclear weapons testing for the first time in 33 years.
