Discover how to turn basic footage into jaw-dropping hyper-realistic AI videos using a simple, step-by-step AI workflow. Perfect for creators looking to elevate their content!
About this video
This experiment started simple - just me walking toward a door and acting out a concept I had.
With the right tools and a few smart prompts, it became a full cinematic sequence.
Tools used:
- Kling 2.1 for realistic video generation and multi-element blending
- Runway Act 2 for facial motion and lip sync
- CapCut for stitching and light editing
Workflow:
1. Real footage
I recorded a 10s clip of myself acting out the scene. Then used the first 1s (which stops at the right moment) and got the last frame of that first 1s clip.
2. Frame capture and prompt-based reimagining
I captured the frame right as the doors opened and ran it through Kling 2.1.
Example prompt:
POV of a person opening double doors into a lush jungle filled with elephants, lions, and tropical animals at golden hour
I ran this a few times to get a version I liked. Small changes in wording can shift the entire scene.
3. Multi-Element composition
To add a selfie-style continuation, I used Kling’s Multi-Element:
- Input 1: the jungle scene
- Input 2: a selfie frame from my original video
Prompt: same person in selfie view, speaking with jungle and animals in the background
4. Smooth transitions
I used Kling 1.6 (image-to-video) to create transitions between frames by matching start and end points with consistent prompts and visuals.
5. Lip sync and expression
To enhance realism, I used Runway Act 2:
- Input: the edited video
- Driver: my original performance video
Settings: gesture on, expression level 3
6. Final cleanup
I brought everything into CapCut to polish the sequence and tighten cuts.
Tips:
- If a prompt doesn’t work, try flipping phrases (like “opens into” vs “enters from”)
- Try 3 to 5 versions per shot to find the best fit
- Kling 2.1 is unmatched for realism, but it takes time - patience pays off
- Runway Act 2 shines when paired with real human performance
- CapCut is great for bridging results across tools
Challenge:
Smoothly transitioning from a wide jungle shot to a close selfie-style scene took trial and error. It came down to smart prompting and framing.
This process shows what’s possible when you combine strengths across tools. The more you experiment, the more control you gain.
