Brief Information about Koh Lipe:
Koh Lipe is a small island in Thailand's Satun province, and part of the Tarutao National Marine Park. The island is known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and white sandy beaches. These make the island one of the most beautiful in the country.

I recommend staying at least two nights on Koh Lipe to enjoy the activities the island offers, such as island hopping and many other aquatic adventures.

The high/peak season of Koh Lipe lasts from October to March of every year. However, I personally prefer January or February. The sea is serene and remarkably stunning. The weather is pristine.

Our Criteria for the best hotels & resorts in Koh Lipe
- 3-5 Star Hotels & Resorts
- Located in Koh Lipe, Satun, Thailand
- Receive excellent review scores (at least 80%) on all booking platforms
- Sufficiently spacious for 2 guests.
- All rooms must be air-conditioned.
- Facilities must be sufficient for guests to stay with comfort.
- No cleanliness or service issues
- Private beach access is highly preferred.
- My personal experience with the accommodation (if any) must be positive.

Additional tips: If you want a serene retreat, I recommend booking resorts that are not too close to the main pier or the Walking Street. The opposite is true for nightlife lovers.

How to Get to Koh Lipe:
The least time-consuming way is to fly to Hat Yai airport. Then, Thais would take the minivan from the airport or the town to Pakbara Pier. However, this can be cumbersome for foreign visitors. Still, you can book online here with 12Go (https://12go.tp.st/OOH85uXz)

I recommend booking private transportation with Intui.travel (https://intui.tp.st/OGSFokeJ) instead. The driver will pick you up at the airport, and you will arrive the pier within 2 hours.

IMPORTANT: You should arrive Hat Yai as early as possible to get to Pak Bara before the last speedboat departs (3.30 PM.) If you are late, you will need to spend a night in the Satun town.

The final step is to take the speedboat from Pak Bara pier to Koh Lipe, which can take another 90 minutes.
