Starting a City: The Common Mistake 🚧

Have you ever started a new city, thrown down a few roads, zoned willy nilly, and then realized way too late the entire thing is trash? Because I have. Starting a city is easy. But starting one that won't become a complete mess later on is a different story. Especially when early game budget is tight and every bad decision snowballs into three more. So today, I’m going to show you how I like to tackle a new city. We’ll lock in the main road network, build a massive farming operation, zone the first neighborhoods and services, set up the industrial base that’s going to create our early jobs, and then detail the whole thing so it feels like a city worth growing.
