Motorists in South Africa are experiencing a 49-cent hike in petrol prices due to a weak rand and increasing international fuel prices, adding to ongoing financial pressures.

Thanks to a weak rand and higher international fuel prices, South Africans are now facing a 49c petrol price hike while they are still reeling from the sharp fuel increase in April.
A litre of 93 and 95 octane unleaded petrol will now cost R14.72c from R14.23c in April.
Diesel 0.05% sulphur and 0.005% sulphur has risen by 59c and 58c a litre respectively.
