I’m in Porto for one of the very first covered drives of the all-new Škoda Epiq – Škoda’s smallest electric SUV, and effectively their electric alternative to the Kamiq.
This is a pre-production, camouflage-covered car, which means I can show you the exterior, talk through the fundamentals, and take it for a short drive – but some details (especially inside) are still under wraps.
In this video, I cover:
What the Škoda Epiq is and where it sits in the range
MEB Plus platform explained (front-wheel drive, new for Škoda EVs)
Battery options, charging speeds and expected range
Boot space and practicality (475 litres in this segment 👀)
Design details hidden beneath the camouflage
New tech including V2L and future V2H capability
Early driving impressions around Porto
Brake pedal feel, suspension comfort and efficiency
How it compares to cars like the Citroën ë-C3, Fiat Grande Panda, Kia EV2 and Škoda Elroq
This isn’t about outright performance – it’s about ease of use, efficiency, practicality and real-world comfort, and from this early drive there are some genuinely encouraging signs.
Let me know what you think of the Škoda Epiq from what you can see so far, and whether this could be the car that finally convinces Kamiq owners to go electric.
