Step 1. Launch the Safari app on your iPhone or iPad, navigate to the site where the PDF you want to save to your device is located, and then open the PDF. In this example, I'll navigate to a sample PDF available on W3.org.
Step 2. Tap the "Share" icon on the screen. The Share icon is a box with an upward-pointing arrow laid over the top of it. A menu is displayed.
Step 3. Tap "Save to Files." A Save screen opens, asking where you want to save your PDF file.
Step 4. Navigate to the location where you want to save your PDF file. In this example, I'll save this PDF file to a Downloads folder in my iCloud drive. Tap "Save" after choosing your location. The menu screen will close and you'll return to your PDF in Safari.
Step 5. Close Safari and then navigate to the location where you saved the PDF file on your iPhone or iPad. From here, you can open the PDF file, or send it to someone else.
