Red Rain in Kerala: Unusual Heavy Rains in 2001

From July 25th to September 23rd, 2001 heavy rains poured in Kerala. However, what made these rains concerning was it's colour.
Across a few square kilometres in Kottayam, Kerala people had seen red rain.
Some studies said that it was a meteor explosion however some say it was because of the locally found algae spores
Among some samples DNA was also found but many didn't have it
Although the report by the Government has provided conclusions to many of the speculations but not everything is clear
