Released March 28, 1994, The Division Bell is the 14th album by Pink Floyd. The Division Bell went straight to number one and was was certified gold, platinum and double platinum in the US in 1994 despite receiving mixed reviews, including the Entertainment Weekly Tom Sinclair quote, "avarice is the only conceivable explanation for this glib, vacuous cipher of an album, which is notable primarily for its stomach-turning merger of progressive-rock pomposity and New Age noodling”. Roger Waters chimed in with his opinion, “Just rubbish…nonsense from beginning to end”.
