Pakistan Bans TLP: Shehbaz Sharif's Cabinet Takes Action 🚫

Islamabad: The Federal Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has officially approved a ban on Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) under the Anti-Terrorism Act, Section 11-B(1).
According to sources, the Ministry of Interior has been directed to complete all legal formalities regarding the ban.
The Punjab government had earlier sent a reference recommending action against TLP, citing the party’s involvement in hate speeches, sectarian violence, and damage to public and private property.
The charge sheet stated that TLP’s activities have harmed Pakistan’s international relations, and the group has been involved in mob violence, inciting hatred against minorities, and using weapons during demonstrations.
Recent TLP protests resulted in several injuries, including the martyrdom of one police officer and the permanent disability of others.
