Olympus 45mm f1.8 Review (2025): Has It Aged Out? 📸

In this video, I take a real-world look at the Olympus (OM System) 45mm f1.8, a once-beloved portrait prime in the Micro Four Thirds world. With a forest walk and some candid moments of my son playing at the park, I put this lens through its paces—but came away feeling less than impressed.

📸 While I include photo and video examples shot on the Olympus 45mm f1.8, the main video was filmed using the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, allowing me to freely document the experience while testing the lens in natural, everyday settings.

This is the first MFT lens I’m genuinely not a fan of, and in this review, I explain why I believe it's time has passed—especially in a system that’s evolved so much in recent years.
