I just received my Olympus 45mm 1.8 for my GH2 and thought I would do a very quick bokeh comparison between it and the lenses I have used that it will replace.
The first lens I used was the Canon 50mm 1.8 FD with adaptor and it was very useful but I started using the Minolta 50mm 1.7 MD with adaptor as the build quality is nicer - more solid.
The bokeh on both these lenses was pretty rough in comparison to all my proper micro 43 lenses, especially the 20mm 1.7 which I love.
The new Olympus 45mm 1.8 is fantastic, nice and small, quick focus although I will nearly always use in manual focus for video. The best thing is now being able to get the nice smooth bokeh I am used to with my modern lenses. Sharpness looks way better too. I literally got this from Hong Kong and know there will be a lot of you out there waiting on this lens so I thought I would throw something up.
If I have time I'll maybe put together a better, more in depth comparison and review.
