Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated Phase 1 of the Noida International Airport on 28 March 2026, marking a major milestone in India’s aviation and infrastructure expansion.

The foundation stone of this ambitious project was laid in November 2021, and within a few years, the first phase is now operational. Located in Jewar (Gautam Buddha Nagar), near Noida and Greater Noida, the airport is strategically positioned along the Yamuna Expressway, around 70–75 km from Delhi, making it highly accessible for the entire NCR region.
