How to Design Microstrip Bandpass Filter, BPF with Quarter-Wave λ/4 Shorted Stubs & Connecting Lines
A bandpass filter can comprise of shunt short-circuited stubs that are λg/4 long with connecting lines that are also λg/4 long, where g is the guided wavelength in the medium of propagation at the midband frequency f0.
Design a BandPass Filter using microstrip lines with specifications as following: fifth order (n=5), a fractional bandwidth FBW = 0.5 at a mid band frequency of f0 = 2 GHz and a 0.1dB passband ripple characteristic.
