Microsoft to make major change in Windows 11 to make your PC more secure. The upcoming Windows 11 24H2 will have BitLocker drive encryption enable by default. So when you do a fresh installs or reinstallation of Windows 11, BitLocker will be enabled and encrypt your hard drive.
