I was shaped like the swirling clouds <br />And had a mind to figure it out <br />And i was so lonely as well <br />With an inconvienient self <br /> <br />But along came the pouring rain <br />With the gift of life in a sting of pain <br />It was some kind of feeling that penetrated me <br />I didn't know i had feelings before <br />And the difference was not slight, i believe <br />It was unlike anything i've ever known before <br /> <br />That im a leaning tower! <br />In the middle of nowhere <br />And longing to be so in times of despair <br /> <br />That im a leaning tower! <br />Below the sunrise <br />And longing to be so in times i despise <br /> <br />And because of you im bent from the back <br />Im helplessly dragged, im self-cracked <br />But straight is not the only merit i lack <br />And the only thing i see in my path <br />Is the comforting aftermath <br />You're my comforting aftermath <br /> <br />Now that i've realised <br />That im more desperate than the drought <br />Than the death that lingers out <br />And im seperate as well <br />From the world itself <br />But in you i find <br />My better self <br /> <br />While im a leaning tower <br />A leaning tower besides you...<br /><br />Lubna Hazeem<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/leaning-tower/
