This video is an intro to the most basic, but also most important, Ladder Logic instructions.
In the video we discuss XIC (similar to normally open contacts ), XIO (similar to normally closed contacts), OTE (similar to relay coils).
(I misspoke at 2:07 and said that a XIO functions like a "normally-open contact". I meant to say that an XIO functions as a "normally-closed" contact. Sorry for the confusion!)
We briefly touch on TON timers and CTU counters and also take some tangents on latch-in circuits and fail-safe stop circuits.
