Indian protesters against citizenship law defy rally ban

Protesters have again come out onto the streets in India, angered by what they see is a law that contravenes its secular constitution.

The law puts religious minorities from three countries on a fast-track path towards citizenship but Muslims are left off the list.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has been fighting to sway public opinion on the law and says that the demonstrators are backed by opposition parties.
