Greetings in this Google Drive tutorial we shall be looking at how to download a protected or view only PDF file. This can be handy if you want a local copy of a PDF that you can view but not download on Google Drive.

To download the PDF from Google Drive, you will need to view the PDF file. Then you will need to press F12 on your key to open the console in your web browser. After that you need to go to the console tab. Then right click and paste the Javascript code in the google doc I have further up in this description.

Then press the enter key and you will download the PDF you can only view. This works by capturing each page of the PDF on google drive as an image, then creating a new PDF with each image as its own page. So this is essentially a faster way to screenshot each page of the PDF.

You may need to type the 'allow pasting' command in your console before doing this if you are prompted to do so.
