Prof B Mahadevan is Operations Management professor at IIM Bangalore since 1992 with 27+ years experience in teaching, research, and consulting. Former visiting scholar at Dartmouth College and consultant to Deloitte USA. Ex-Chief Editor of IIMB Management Review and founder Vice-chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth (2016-2018). Research focuses on ancient Indian wisdom for contemporary management, Bhagavad Gita paradigms, and service systems design.

Professor Mahadevan’s research interests include researching the possibility of using ancient Indian wisdom to address contemporary concerns, spirituality in the work place, and management paradigms from Bhagavad Gita.
Professor Mahadevan was the founder Vice-chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, a University for applied Sanskrit and Indian Wisdom during 2016 – 2018.
