Guide to Downloading PDFs from Scribd for Free
This guide outlines the steps to download PDFs from Scribd without cost. It includes creating a free account, logging in, and locating the desired file in a browser window.

1. Create a FREE account on Scribd. Make sure you are logged in for next steps.
2. Locate the file you want and keep it open in a browser window. We come back to this.
3. Click the Upload button and upload a small PDF [for time’s sake].
4. Fill out the title and description, then wait for it to finish uploading.
5. Click DONE when is has fully uploaded.
6. Click on the Embed button, and Copy the code that comes up in the pop up window.
7. Paste it into a text file.
8. Locate the link (usually the last link in the code) that has the access key in it.
9. Remove all code before the https and all code after starting with the &.
10. Go back to the window tab that has the PDF you want to download.
11. Copy the number of file in the address bar.
12. Go back to your text file and replace the number in that link with the number you just grabbed.
13. Copy this new link, paste it into a new browser window, and click enter.
14. When it loads, you will be able to download the PDF. In Safari, you can Print to PDF and save it that way. I’m sure Firefox and Chrome have similar a similar process to download.
15. You can also click the Download button on the bottom right of the page and save it that way too.
