Govt to Review and Restructure Rice Supply System, Says Agriculture Minister 🌾
Agriculture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu announced plans to examine and overhaul the current rice distribution system to ensure better efficiency and security in food supply.

Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu told reporters on Sunday (Jan 21) that the ministry was carrying out investigations into allegations by the Bumiputra Rice Association of Malaysia (Barim) that there was certain “games” within the Padiberas Nasional Bhd (Bernas) and that cartels were most likely in existence.
He said the government is ready to examine the restructuring of the existing rice system to avoid the occurrence of irregularities or cartel syndicates.
