Govt Urged to Include Menstrual Hygiene in Schools 🚸

Menstrual hygiene activists have called on the government to incorporate menstrual hygiene in school curriculums. This they say, will help in eliminating menstrual stigma and ensure girls remain in school.
While visiting Thiru Secondary School in Laikipia County where they distributed pads to school girls, the executive director of Pad a Princess Initiative Nancy Mumbi challenged the government to include sanitary pads as an essential school item alongside textbooks and school supplies. The non-profit organization conducted a menstrual hygiene education at the school and donated free sanitary products to the girls.
