Quick Promotion and Quit? 🤔 #shorts

If that sounds kind of crazy, apparently it isn’t - a new study done by ADP (a payroll-services provider), found that a lot of employees leave soon after a promotion (a lot = 29%, and soon after = within one month).

Why? There’s a few potential reasons -
➡️ The promotion took too long - sometimes, a promotion comes later than it should’ve, and the employee has already been looking for a new roles
➡️ The company doesn’t support the employee after the promotion (think adequate training, an increased salary, etc.)

The same survey did note that after six months in a new role, employees are less likely to quit, because they’ve settled into the role and likely feel it is a good fit after that point.
