Trip Report: First Flight on KLM A321Neo from Manchester to Amsterdam and Berlin

KLM Trip Report flying from Manchester to Berlin (via Amsterdam Schiphol airport) onboard one of the new KLM Airbus A321Neo and a Boeing 737NG. My very first flight onboard the new KLM A321Neo, and I must say it is a very nice plane. We flew on it on the early-morning flight from Manchester to Amsterdam. There, including a delay of 2 hours, we connected to another KLM flight to Berlin. This second flight was also scheduled to be on the A321Neo, but the very same day of the trip, they swapped it to a regular Boeing 737. After a nice planespotting at Manchester, we boarded the A321Neo that would take us to Amsterdam. Even before pushback, we could see how they were deicing a Jet A321Neo parked next to us. We took off heading east with the light of the sunrise, and after a nice view of Manchester, we set course to Amsterdam. The approach to Amsterdam with the golden light of the early morning was just amazing. I loved to see all those canals and small villages at low altitude while approaching Amsterdam-Schiphol airport. Both flights were very fast, both under 1 hour of duration. The service onoard was minimal, but at least they gave us a snack and a drink in each flight. The planespotting at Amsterdam airport was great as well, being able to see some really nice planes...but the 2:30h hours delay was just horrible. In my particular case, it made me miss my connecting flight in Berlin. Based on the captain msg, the reasons were maintenance issues (apparently on the A321Neo) and IT issues at the airport or KLM itself, it wasn't completely clear. Now it's your turn!
