Epic Summer Getaway: Budapest to Istanbul & Cruise Adventure ✈️🚢

Wizz Air Trip Report flying from Budapest to Istanbul on board one of the new Wizz Air Airbus A321neo on a beautiful summer morning. This was a holiday flight for me, as the goal was to board a Costa Cruises ship in Istanbul and sail to Barcelona, visiting the Greek Islands along the way. Although Wizz Air is known for offering a rather simple service and no-frills aircraft, this flight turned out to be really enjoyable, mainly thanks to the stunning views outside. We took off from Budapest at sunrise, enjoying amazing views of the city. The route took us over Romania and Bulgaria, before beginning our descent into Istanbul. And what a descent it was! We had one of the most scenic approaches imaginable, coming from the north, circling the city over the Bosphorus at low altitude. Believe me when I say the views were just perfect. I can’t think of a better way to see Istanbul right before landing. We even spotted our Costa Cruises ship at Galataport during the approach! At the end of this trip report, you’ll also get a glimpse of the cruise itself, one of the best I’ve ever had. From Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Heraklion, and Athens, to Malta, all with the excellent service from Costa Cruises, this trip truly became one of my best holidays so far. Now it’s your turn!
