Ford Recalls Over 100,000 Trucks , Over Rear Axle Issue.<br />Close to 113,000 Ford F-150s have been recalled due to an issue that could result in power loss or cause the vehicle to roll away when parked, CBS News reports. .<br />"Both of these conditions can increase the risk of a crash," according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).<br />The 2021-2023 vehicles "equipped with <br />the Trailer Tow Max Duty package and a 9.75-inch heavy duty axle with a 3/4 float <br />axle design" are at risk, the NHTSA says.<br />The hub bolt on the rear axle <br />"may fatigue and break... which can result <br />in damage to the axle hub splines.".<br />Owners of the affected pickups are being advised to take their trucks "to a dealer for a temporary repair," CBS News reports. .<br />Ford doesn't have a permanent solution at <br />this time but is working to develop one.<br />Ford owners with questions <br />can call (866) 436-7332.<br />The recall number is "23S65.".<br />The NHTSA's safety hotline can also provide information and be reached at (888) 327-4236.<br />Over 230,000 Ford Explorers <br />were recalled in October in the U.S. <br />due to a similar issue, CBS News reports.
