Federal Government Bans TLP Under Anti-Terrorism Law Amid Violent Protests 🚫

The federal government has approved a ban on the religio-political party Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan under the Anti-Terrorism Act, following violent protests earlier this month. The decision was taken during a federal cabinet meeting on the Punjab government’s recommendation.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the ban was unanimously approved after the interior ministry briefed the cabinet on the party’s violent and terrorist activities. Officials said the TLP, established in 2016, has repeatedly incited violence, leading to casualties among security personnel and civilians.
