Family of Victims Criticizes Juvenile Law's Protection for Rapists

Once again the law is about to offer an escape route to rapists after having ruined the victim's life , purely because the alleged rapists are all under 18 and therefore come under the Juvenile Justice Act. The family of the victim who is herself a minor are outraged. The Guwahati Court sent 5 minor boys accused of raping a 12-year-old girl, to 3-days in Remand Home. The decision has caused anguish to the family of the victim as the minors are not being treated as adult rape accused are.
