Deadly Attacks Shake Damascus and Idlib Amid Rising Violence ⚠️

PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL<br/> <br />++THIS EDIT CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES++<br/> <br />REUTERS IS UNABLE TO INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY THE CONTENT OF SOME OF THIS VIDEO, WHICH HAS BEEN OBTAINED FROM A SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITE.<br/> <br />The carnage continued in Syria where attacks in the cities of Damascus and Idlib reportedly took numerous lives.<br/> <br />Syrian state television claims that 12 people were killed and dozens wounded in the capital, when a car bomb exploded at a funeral, allegedly targeting supporters of President Bashar al-Assad.<br/> <br />A local human rights organization says the two men being buried were Assad supporters.<br/> <br />And in the northern city of Idlib, an air strike left an unaccounted number of people dead and wounded and buildings destroyed.<br/> <br />Video of the aftermath, uploaded to a social media website, is one of a growing number of activist clips which allegedly show government air attacks on Syrian cities.<br/> <br />The United Nations estimates more than 18,000 people have been killed since the start of the uprising against Assad in March of last year.
