About this video
In this video, you will learn, how to design Chebyshev low pass and high pass filters using OP-Amp.
In this video, you will learn, how to interpret the Chebyshev filter design table and using that how to design the Chebyshev filters using Salen-Key filter topology.
Chebyshev Filter:
Chebyshev Filter provides the faster roll-off than the Butterworth filter. But it has ripple in the passband.
Four important parameters for Chebyshev Filter Design:
1. Passband Ripple (Ap)
2. Passband Cut-off Frequency (wp)
3. Stopband Cut-off Frequency (wc)
4. Stopband Attenuation (As)
What is filter table:
Filter table is very useful tool for designing filters, in which coefficients of the filter polynomials and different parameters like Q value, Frequency Scaling factor are given for different order of the filters.
So, in this video, by taking one filter design example it has been shown that the same transfer function can be achieved if the filter design is designed using filter table and mathematical equations of Chebyshev Filter.
